'93 GMC grill question.

Did the grill ever come from the factory with this circled bar between the headlights and blinkers chromed? Or are the ones I see chromed all aftermarket?

I can't speak to this specific example, but every single aftermarket grille I've ever seen for these trucks has been of inferior quality when compared to OEM.

Can confirm what @df2x4 said about the quality being not-so-great. On my 98, I got a reproduction paintable grille at a swap meet for $10, and it fits somewhat decent, not the best, but I can't complain for how much I paid for it.

In response to "CROOKEDAXLE",... my 1990 Sierra was originally the same as the picture you posted.
However, I discovered that the black coating was sprayed over the chrome from factory. Simply scrape off the black carefully, and the chrome will show. Same with the Grill around the GMC letters.
