93 Cluster swap- to 95 or up?

since i have a 93 tbi, am i forced to get only a 95 cluster? will the 96-98 not work?

im a little confused on swapping pins in the wiring harness as well. Is it a simple plug & play on 95 but not 96? What wires have to be swapped if so.. and there position vs how the connector is numbered

Well there is going to be alot more then just swapping pins. The whole cluster is different as well as the hole in the dash it fits in as well as the dash. I have no idea of the difference between a 95 and 96.

95-up was the interior change, so the clusters are completely shaped differently.

You would need to find a cluster from a 92-94, I believe.

Unless you are swapping dashes, then get the 95 cluster if you want done right, since it was the last year for TBI with new interior.

Complete dash will be changed eventually. Already did the doors.

Ive got a 93 with a 5.7 tbi / 4l60 , 92-94 dash

I want to eventually do the 95-98 dash swap. The 95 has a 5.7 tbi, 4l60… only difference is cluster

There is a post that has 12 pages of the 92/94 upgraded to 95/98 dash & cluster… but none with wiring info. Bits and pieces of repinning the plug. Im just after the specifics of what im up against.

I have no idea. Thats way above my pay grade. When I read your first post I thought you where wanting to put a 95/96 cluster in a 93. I didn't know you where doing a complete dash swap as well.
