I know I know!! Another 4 wheel drive issue but here goes. It’s a 92 k1500 manual shift np241c. My 4 wheel drive stopped working and not getting a indicator light and with my research pointed to the thermal actuator. I replaced it and still nothing. I’m at a loss. Where do I go next?

What is the plug/ switch on top of the tc? And what is the one on the side of the tc, driver side?

what are the two sets of wires by the thermal actuator. I know the two wire plug goes to the actuator but not sure of the other

Relax bud. chill.
Start with a visual inspection of all of the wires.
Look for crud and corosion and loose connections.
Be really ******* dedicated to that.
Shiney crispy clean no half assed **** allowed.
Your 4x4 indicator doesnt mean a whole lot but it can short.
Make sure the bulb is good.
Check the wires from each circuit all the way back to the plug and make sure they arent pinched crushed corroded etc..
You have a wiring problem.
Start at the connections, trace it back through each wire seperatly and fix it.
Stay calm, trace that ****** back and you will find it.
If you are gonna be a mechanic?
Do it.
Be a mechanic.
Im only on here when I have the time to do it but I will help out in any way I can.
Dont be worried about posting questions.
There are a couple of rotten old ladies that will try to tag you out because they just really dig that ****.
Dont worry about strange people and trolls.
Post away Brother, ask away
That is why we are here.
