Hi guys I need some advice please..
I got myself into a pickle I think, here it goes
I bought my son a 79 k10 the th350 was blown, I purchased another that was mated to an np208 from an 86, I ran into the issue with the drive shafts. I was quoted 500 and something to make it work, well I got the bright idea that I would split them thinking the newer th350 would slide right into the np 203 transcase after I sold the np 208. Now I realize the out put on the newer 350 is extremely longer than the original th350. I then bought a 1992 GMT 400 Chevy Cheyenne 4x4 with a 700 r4 already pulled due to losing reverse. I put a stop on the 79 and started on the 92, I mated the newer th350 to the np241c with both adapters from the 709r4 and the newer th350. My question is am I going to be able to bolt these transmissions into the trucks without issues as in put the 700R4 with no reverse on the 203 for the 79 and then put the newer th350 to the 241c to the 92 Chevy Cheyenne. hope that makes sense. I'd like some advice before I try to put them up in there as I run into the problem with the new transmission and the 203 on the 79 being off 2 in after a transmission was installed trying to get the transfer case I've been I don't want to have to do that again thanks in advance

Rebuild the 700R4 and put it along with it's transfer case back into the '92 Cheyenne. You don't want a Turbo 350 in a 1992 vehicle that came from GM with an overdrive trans.

Put whichever TH350 you have along with one of the other half-dozen transfer cases (whichever one will work) back into the '79 and take them both for a test drive to check function and make final adjustments to TV cable (700R4) and kick down (TH350) as needed. You can also explore a 700R4 retro swap for the 79 as well...
