A 3500 would never have had 3:42s, a SRW would have come standard with 4:10, with 4:56 optional.

I thought the same thing, but a member here stated that the early GMT 400s could be found with 3.42 and 3.73s as well, and in fact, the GM Heritage literally does show this.

But you correct on the '97-'00 models.

Might be that drw came only 4.10 & 4.55

I thought the srw came with 3.73 & 4.10

My '00 owner's manual lists 4.10 on C/K 3500 as standard with 4.56 optional regardless if SRW or DRW. I assume these gear ratio option was a 97-00 production change.

Earlier models came with the 3.42 and 3.73s, as well as 4.10 and 4.56s. Not sure of what years though. 88-92? 88-95?
