(88-94) Wanted a new radio with factory looks and modern features, RetroSound installed!

I've never been a big fan of mounting a single din in the middle of the dash in these trucks and as I get older I appreciate cleaner/more factory style with a lot of things. My original radio didn't work so I did some research and came across the retro sound unit. It has factory looks but has has hidden aux/usb and bluetooth. I'll get around to upgrading the speakers at some point, but I couldn't be happier with the radio itself!

I used the Kicker speakers Crutchfield recommended and the are really good.

I put this in my 94 Sierra, works really good. Love the look, and SiriusXM capability (I did spend LOTS of money on it, but I'm cheap as fudge). Someday I'll install better speakers than the ones I left in it. I got the XM package because I had a tuner for it in my k2500, and lots of music I like is on it.

Through Bluetooth, are you able to listen to music and such on your cell phone? Or just phone calls?

I used those in the front and the 4x10 in the rear pillar. I modified the pillar to accept 4x10 speakers. I wouldn't do that again though.

Added a 10" powered sub to fill in the bass.

My truck is a crew cab and the music is clear @ 70 mph with the windows down!

My factory radio has crapped out and I have been looking at those RetroSound units. There are 3 versions of that one. Which version did you get? Was any splicing of wires required?
