Interesting find in regards to upgrading to the dual t stats for heavy duty rigs like my ambulance. The article shared by @someotherguy mentions using a non by-pass blocking thermostat to prevent overpressurizing the coolant system on heavy rigs with hi flow wp as an alternative to dual t stats.
It looks like this ac Delco part 131-91 is one of those t stats that allow for higher flow according to this discussion. So, hoping this one that I had installed in 2020 was just a defective one because it should be the one t stat I need.
