5.7 Vortec Upgrade Options

    Conveniently, the 5.7 makes peak torque at 2800 rpm stock. That's awesome, 3000 rpm is about where I feel the most power in my truck.

    The turbo size comes into play here too.

    The last SC truck I tuned was a procharger on a 370 LS and it was a smooth power curve similar to a turbo. But like mentioned they don't make much low end, takes a second to get rpms up for it to make boost.


    Also run a good intercooler if your plannin on staying in boost for extended periods of time.
    I use to tow with my last turbo truck and used a Water / air Intercooler but I always had plenty of air flow to help keep it cool..

    Going slow and staying in boost is going to build up some heat in the intake. So be mindful of that.
