The AC compressor was retro fitted for R134 and the way the clutch is installed, you cant remove the bolts that mount the compressor to the engine. Also looks like the clutch is pressed on. I have a robin air machine so not the biggest deal to drain the AC system and pull the hardlines coming out the back so the valve cover can come off. Its going to bite me in the ass wheeling some day though. I need to change how the compressor is mounted up.

Well I finally got rid of all the smoke. Was definitely burning oil. Still getting a lean code and decided to break the heat shields off the exhaust manifolds and lo and behold, a crack on the passenger side.

Ordering up a new set of manifolds now.

Unless the bolts are not original after you get them loose they are designed to be spun a certain way to clear the clutch. Its still a tight fit but they will clear.
