I’m deciding on either building a Holley EFI 383 or just LS swapping it with a cammed 5.3/6.0. This is going in a 95 single cab 2wd Silverado with a 28” tire.

The current carb 355 put down 318hp and 323tq to the wheels.

I’m only looking for dyno results of similar set ups. 2wd running a 28” or so tire.

I can build a pretty stout 383. Being a small block fan I’m leaning towards that but I’m really curious on real world to the tire dyno results out a similar LS set up.

Dang son, that 355 putting down some good power. I have never done an LS swap or anything but I do know that it's a really popular swap in the OBS world. I would do the 383 because I too am a huge SBC fan. Plus a 383 built right can make all the power you'll want. LS of course could make more power and more this and more that for probably less or the same amount of money but it's more modification and you might run into hiccups with your swap.

My buddies 97 ECSB swapped with a LQ4 with milled and ported 317s, BTR stage 3, TBSS intake and long tubes put down 345/310 through an unlocked converter 4L80E and 3.90 gears. Truck ran 8.50s and 8.60s in the 1/8 consistently in 100°F heat.

I was right at 410 hp and 400 tq at the tires with my 383 and a dual plane MPI intake. Through a 4L85E and GM 10.5" with 5.13 gears. Now shooting for 400 rwhp with a ported stock L31 intake and smaller cam. I am looking for a 7.99 in the 1/8 in a 6,500 lbs van.

Haha not much to brag about IMO. I had a 305 powered G20 van that would do the same back in the day and it had 3.08 gears. Peg legs have no grip.

Definitely not a brag its a slug lol.
but is a powerhouse compared to the only 3500 ive drove with a 5.7
