I picked up this truck at the local u pull it salvage for a few dollars. It actually ran great even with 220k miles on it and the title says it was owned by an oil field company which is why the trucks interior is covered in tar/oil/sand/dirt as is the entire under carriage of the truck. But, it was cheap.

Specs:
1999 GMC Sierra SLT c2500 (GMT400)
5.7 350
4l80e
power everything and an OK factory sound system.
4 door crew cab
trashed leather interior

4bt
new injection pump
rebuilt injectors
new starter
GM tilt adapter
new hx30w
90 degree sharp bend from 6bt school bus with flanges on both sides
new oil return line
cleaned and painted
custom alternator bracket
custom GM AC bracket
new lift pump
banjo fuel pressure gauge adapter and gauge

Already done

new commerial / farm grade battery 1000+ CCA
old man camper
front seats from the junkyard and lots of interior parts
new amazon special speakers all around, but i kept the factory tweeters.
new ignition key mech
new door handle (dont by the china plastic crap, get GM only)
upgraded to GMT800 master brake cyl

The Goods:
Supermatic transmission controller (already tested with dakota and alternator in laptop software )
dakota digtal tach adapter
High output gmt800 upgraded alternator already modified with a W wire
junkyard ford fullsize car electric radiator fan
rebuilt ac compressor and blower fan
factory cruise control and ABS system that I plan to wire back up after swap.

Lagniappe:
rebuilt steering box
rebuilt steering column
clean and paint the engine bay
4 very lightly used lights headlights, but got them at the junkyard for cheap

Bonus

fender flairs
CD radio w/ 40watt mod
vintage bumper stickers
Do something with the dash
replace the carpet or power wash the existing carpet.
repaint the interior plastics

Outsourcing
rebuild 4l80e or replace 4l80e
alignment
replace windshield

Phase one GOAL
rub some awesome on the truck and put a 4bt and use it on my road trip in early dec 2016.

Am tuning in. 4bt is in my long term plans for my c1500. Pretty clean considering it was an oilfield truck lol

This is certainly going to be interesting. I only gotta wonder why not a 6bt? Still cool nonetheless

Turn that sucker into a dually and run those 8 lug 19.5's off the bread truck!

Or at least sell 'em; people like those wheels. I sold my set for $450 several years ago, just the bare wheels, no tires.
