Guys & gals I recently noticed my exhaust manifolds had some hair line cracks starting to show on my 1988 k3500 4x4

Soo I would like to replace them with headers, probably the hedman brand, cause I can't afford the JBA or Gibsons.

Does anybody got pics of the driver side header from underneath the truck?

Also how did you or how is your driver side exhaust configured? Trying to figure out what Universal DIY exhaust kit to buy from summit.

Was looking for some pics, so I could visualize what I need to order.

Thanks. Any & all help will be greatly appreciated.

Well wish me luck. Got long tube headers. A full 3" mandrel bent dual exhaust kit, 2 40 series delta flow flowmaster mufflers, 6 V-band exhaust couplers, 2 flex couplers, & 8 torctite preformed exhaust clamps & a couple weld in O2 sensor bungs.

We ruined a lot of that style V-band exhaust clamp due to the nut galling the stainless-steel threads on the stud. Sometimes they wouldn't even fully tighten before the threads galled.

Be sure to use anti-seize.

Makes one wonder if a simple barrel nut would do a better job. Much more contact with the threads. Barrel nuts seem to work well when configured as poly locks for rocker arms.

Yep I've ruined a few in my days as well. Anti-sieze is a person's friend when it comes to stainless.
