So ive got a tbi 350 jasper engine with 78k miles on it.
tore down to a short block, looking for some help putting a proper part list together.
Im thinking a comp cams thumper cam. 479/465 lift

CL12-600-4

vortec heads, port and polished, summit racing stage 1 intake and a holley 650cfm

im new to building engines so im hoping this will be a relatively good build. i want an aggressive cam mostly for sound, but also because the truck is either gonna get a procharger or turbo later on down the line.

Any input is appreciated. ive also got a set of mid length headers for it.

If your block has the provisions for a roller cam, there is absolutely no reason to run flat-tappet. If you're putting Vortec heads on it, make a trip to the treasure yard and get some roller lifters, dogbones, and spider. With the old-school umbrella seals and beehive valvesprings you can also run more lift.

Here's a list of decent rebuild parts, sticking with decent quality brands.
