Why not just use a aftermarket oil and temp gauge? Seems like that would be the easiest solution.

Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

I like to keep things stock looking and even if I found a good place to mount them I'd hate to have the oil and temp gauges in my stock cluster not working and just sitting there dumb in my cluster.

If I recall correctly, the hot ticket for the temp sender is to take the stock GMT400 sensor and turn the diameter of the brass down where the threads are at and rethread to the proper metric size.

Hmm I never thought of that... I'm going to do some checking into that tomorrow. I might pick up a M12 Die to cut the threads.

Why not just use the 3 wire temp sensor and pigtail from an 02 LS1 Camaro. Two of the wires are for the EFI and one wire is for the gauge. It is a direct screw in to the Gen3/4 cylinder heads.

That picture didn't turn out like I wanted it too. The part number for the sensor is 12551708 and the pigtail is 12102748. A is Low Reference, B is Signal, C is the input to the gauge.

I have read that it doesn't always read properly. If you use the stock sender, you know that it works with your gauges.

LUK 04205 (04-205) Clutch Kit $ 143.89 $ 0.00 1 $ 143.89
SACHS NFW1050 Flywheel $ 52.79 $ 0.00 1 $ 52.79

That's what I used. I can't remember what I did for the pilot bearing but I don't think It worked correct. I was getting some noise after running it a while.

That should get you looking in the right direction though.
