Ah good call.
Do you have any pics of that tire size? Are those what are on the pearl? What size spacer would I need for 235s? Reason I ask is if I need a spacer now, I'd like one big enough to run a larger size like 235/85 for the next tires.

I like the cost and may get that size once these wear out.
235 85 16 are taller and narrower than your 245 75 16. They will go without a spacer but you need to watch the pressure. A 235 85 is the same height as a 265 75 16, in fact I ran 265's on the front and 235's on the rear for about 6 months and used 4wd multiple times. We are currently running 265 75 16 all of the way around on Pearl.
This was the 235's without a spacer.

This is the 265's with a 2.5" spacer. It is intentionally too big so I can use honest to goodness tire chains.

I shoulda ran a 255/85. Tall tire but narrow enough to not balloon all weird.

And minimum spacer is 2". Anything shorter and you have to trim lug studs, and at that point you may as well have gotten thicker spacers and saved the time.

1.5" is the minimum to not trim studs on a GMT400 truck. My 88 had a set of 1.5" spacers way back when with no trimming, and the dually has 1.5" spacers currently with no trimming. GMT800 trucks have a rounded end stud that is longer and they do require a 2" spacer to go without trimming.

@88GMCtruck runs 255's on the black fox.
Yup. These with the spacer don't rub, even at 60PSI with about 11k on the rear axle

I thought I remembered reading at 1.5 you would have to trim. I know my 2" spacers from Bora don't have much left of the thread sticking out past the nuts (I'll pay more attention the next time I rotate the tires)

Fyi, rotating tires with spacers adds another 16 times I have to torque something.
It's bullshit son, bullshit

Nice, thanks for the pics! I think a spacer is better safe than sorry, I'm not sure when mine rub aired to 55psi, but i know they rubbed when only aired to about 15 (parked for a year).

Crap I didn't even think about the stock stud length interfering with the spacer, good thing I didn't try a 1" spacer.

And damn, that 255 is a good looking tire!
Just more than I want to spend.

Haha damn, i didn't think about that either.
Add value to get tires from a tire chain and have them rotate when needed so you don't have to.

I have a photo resizer app on my phone to reduce pic size, then upload them here at each post i make.

I use IMGUR, and it'll give you a link to use for just about any type of forum's embedding code... plus you can choose the size of the picture you want to post and it'll edit the end of the picture name in the URL.

So if you find a picture that's hosted on imgur and it's too small, and the last letter in the file name is a "s" or an "m" you can change it to "L" or just delete it and it'll load the full size image.

Been using it for years. I don't use it for the social platform though, because they try to be like Reddit, but so far it's been good to me.

I keep backups too of all of my pictures so in the event my stuff disappears and I notice I can rehost elsewhere.
