1999 2 Door Tahoe 454SS Build

Started building this truck in 16 sold it to a buddy in 17. Just bought it back in about the same condition as when I sold it. Its a 99 2 door 2wd that I was building into a 454SS. My plan was to build an SS that looked the way it would have if GM built it. Swap came out of a 99 1 ton with about 63k on it.

Nice. Thought about an 8.1 for my 70 c10 but went with a 472. Then spent the next few years building frame from scratch and doing 6.0. Used 86 vette front and rear suspension. Was a real pain in the butt..

I wanted to do this to the 2wd 4-door tahoe I had. I have a 4wd one now, still wouldn't mind doing it to that eitiher lol....Sweet truck!!!

I would love to swap my 8.1 into a c1500 pickup or tahoe.... looks like a real clean truck

Truck is pretty clean. Roof and hood have clear coat issues and carpet may or may not be saved with a good cleaning.

Progress today. Dirty Dingo trans crossmember, new driveshaft and ecu minus vats. Started right up. Gas is old as hell. Wasnt able to post a video on here but its pretty loud running off the manifolds.
put some old school Camaro wheels on it for now but plan on going with a set of C8 tridents I picked up.
