I have a 1997 C1500 2wd 5.0. I thought I had a failure and had replaced the master cylinder two months ago. A couple a weeks ago the rear brakes locked up on the highway. I replaced the left rear wheel cylinder and it didn't fix the issue, it would just move to the next wheel. It will drive about a mile before the brakes start holding the truck, eventually getting too hot to move. I have since replaced each caliper and wheel cylinder, but the problem persists. After I replaced the last rear cylinder I couldn't get the rear to bleed until I bled the front again. I pulled the ABS fuse, but it still locks up. Could it be the new master cylinder? If so how do I check? ABS? Any help greatly appreciated.
