I'm doing a repower of an older 1993 K 1500 extended cab I use for towing. It going to be a job getting the electrical system right. I would LIKE to use the dash and harnesses out of the suburban in the 1993 K. Basically the same body I think but major different wiring situation with the pre pcm type computer being replaced by the 1997 PCM Ideas to make life easier? Also want to install a different cam to get more power for towing. What are the limits to use without having to remachine the valve guides on the vortec heads> Max lift/ duration? I want low to mid range and dependability as we will be doing long distance towing a lot with this truck. All ideas and opinions valued and considered.
