Looking for a little help trying to resolve the problem with my passenger window motor. The window motor works intermittently, it will usually roll down but not always roll back up. If I wait a little while, it will typically roll back up a little at a time. I've tested all the conductors from driver to the passenger side controls and they are good. I recently replaced the passenger switch thinking it could be the problem to no avail. Here is the kicker, when the window won't roll up with either switch, I can make a jumper and put 12v to the motor from the harness in the door and it always rolls up. Any help or ideas for troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated. I have checked the fuse as well and it is good. Window motor is several years old, but I haven't been using it the last few years because of this problem.

Thanks

Did you replace the passenger window switch on the driver's side too? The circuit goes through both switches and, if one is intermittently bad, the window won't work intermittently.

I just replaced the driver's switch and get the same results. The only thing left to replace is the motor. I just assumed if I jumped 12v to it and it worked, that it wouldn't be the motor, are there any other controls or relays that I am missing?

Replace the little silver circuit breaker in the dash fuse panel. That's the only other thing in the way that might cause your issue, save for a busted wire in the door jamb or something. Try putting a 30A mini fuse in its place for testing a while, if that works then the circuit breaker has gone bad and is intermittent.
