New to the forum. Hope I’m posting in the correct place.

I just watched a video on the difficulty of finding the appropriate part from oreillys and auto zone for the rear expansion valve. To keep from running into this issue, I wanna get the part directly from the dealership. Does anyone have a good gym part number for the rear AC expansion valve for a 1994 suburban k2500 w/5.7L?

Thanks in advance.

Rockauto lists a number of them, from 5 to 13 dollars, though not one of them is a GM number.
Does it NEED to be a true GM part? After 28 years, it's likely gonna be discontinued from their computers and also their warehouses.

I just found another installment of this fella’s expansion valve video. I believe the part number is 5240-6098.

Can anyone verify this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

So, here is the latest.

FINALLY!!

About a week ago, I called my local Chevy parts desk. I asked him for the part number for the old discontinued OE for my 94 suburban K2500 with rear heat and air controls. He gave me this part number…52413202. Says it is been discontinued for years and he has no recommended replacement.

So, I finally locate the part and it is in stock at GMPARTSGIANT.com.

I received it in the mail today.

I rushed to grab the part that I removed to compare it.

Hahahahaha. It has the exact part number stamped on it as the original—52459601. However, it came in a box labeled with the part number given to me by the parts desk.

So, I’ll be installing this joker on Saturday.
