Another member pointed out that it may be an LCA for a GMT800...which is supposed to fit supposedly. The part would K6693. I am going to check one the way home. These arms are verified to be from a 99 K3500. I'll see if the other fits, but then I am not sure about spindle size being correct. Man I just don't know. I think I have relearned to stick with what is stock on the truck rather than "frankensteining" **** together.

Yeah I don't remember all the in's & out's of that process. If I remember correctly when you do the GMT800 spindle swap for better brakes, it requires the ball-joint to be reamed out...but it's been a minute since I read up on it.

I used Energy Suspension part # 3.3180G on my K2500 Suburban with the forged arms. Had both lowers and uppers.

Ok, so I went back and looked at the control arm picture you posted, of it in the box. I can confirm that that is identical to the ones on my '02 Silverado 1500HD. That's definitely a GMT800 LCA.
My part number at AutoZone for that control arm is FA6693 or GFA6693, depending on which level it is. Hopefully that info helps you. Although I have no idea if the ball joint taper will be the same as a GMT400. I'll go see if I can pull a couple of the shelf and see if the match.

One on the left is the 800 ball joint, right is 400 forged arm ball joint.

I'm not sure that the vertical clearance is gonna work for giving you enough space to torque down the castle nut and have the cotter pin hole exposed. The diameter sizes are also completely different. The 800 is 21.73 mm at the beginning of the boot, vs 22.20 mm on the 400, and 18.85 mm at the narrow end vs 19.33 mm on the 400. Also, base size is 47.90 mm on the 400 unit, vs 50.30 mm on the 800 one.

I can grab an 800 ball joint tomorrow and see if it'll work with a 400 knuckle, if you want. I have a spare knuckle floating in the shop.

Man, you are a huge help. At least it verified what I have. Now I have to see if I can make it to work since I have come this far. I almost gave up yesterday, but I slept on it and got my head together. After coming this far, I am going to try to make it work, and I think I can from the reading I have done. One guy told me yesterday that the installed the 800 ball joint on his 97 and has had no issues since 2018. Even if I have to ream the hole on my knuckles, I can do that, but I may not have to. I know my LCAs came off of a 99, but maybe that guy had changed them out. I am just glad I know now and I am not nuts LOL. I am going to look at those K6693 today that the parts store and my guess is that they will be the ones. That is the part for the GMT 800 2500HD.

But seriously, thank you. Guys like you make this forum what a forum should be. Hope I can pay it forward.
