Well daughter and I messed with this today. It does help loosen the glue somewhat but it seems like it wants to soften the grill plastic a little bit too. I can see why people that want to paint their grills body color just scuff up the chrome and then paint it but since I already had chrome bubbling off that wasn't really a choice for me. Oh well I'll keep pecking away at it when I have time and am in the mood, so it'll probably be the end of the summer before it's all off lol!

I just bought a black plastic one off ebay. $73 bucks shipped. They are now 110 bucks.
