Ignore all the dust and greasy finger prints.... it'll get detailed once the swap is done.

Here's a little video that will get you up to date... hoping its running and driving soon, just waiting on fuel line fittings and will have to have the driveshaft shortened...

I was going to pull the x-brace and weld in new braces and mount the fuel cell between the frame rails, but decided to just chuck it in the bed for now.... so that meant it was time for the bed to go back on... first time seeing it with the bed on since I lowered it. I like the green and the gold!

I was going to get the fuel system done today, but I spent the first 2 hours debating where to put the fuel cell. I was originally going to cut out x brace at the rear of the frame and mount it between the frame rails (under the bed), but then decide to mount it in the bed instead… but when it came time to do it, I started 2nd guessing that choice. Finally I decided to put it inside the bed, I can always move it later and patch the hole I cut in the bed.

also start on cleaning up the trucks wiring, removing what I no longer need. Fun stuff. Still more to remove, I’ll finish it tomorrow.

I got all the accessories back on, the radiator back in, the modded battery box bolted on the drivers side…

I got the motor moved all the way back on the sliders (so nice), and now I need to measure for the driveshaft. There’s a local company that will shorten it for 100 bucks, so that’s what I’m going to do. I want to swap the rear for an 8.8 this winter, when I do, I’ll have them build an all new driveshaft for me (something beefy.) This company builds a lot of stuff for the guys of street outlaws, which is kind of cool I guess, even though I’m not a big fan of the show.

Why an 8.8? Get a 9" from an 80-85 F150, they are 65" in width which is almost perfect for our trucks. And then get axles made for 5x5 BP, and then do a rear disc setup or drill the drums for 5x5.
