I did this to my 94 model C1500 today. Easy and no adapter needed.
About to do this on my 90 2wd, as my rears locked up on me yesterday and had to unplug the module wires to get home.
Does anyone have the Part number and brand name for the adapter at AutoZone ? ( Crap shoot every time I go there if they have it or not)
Also is there caps made to cover the plugs on the ABS wires instead of cutting them?

I got my adaptor at a local parts store for about 8 bucks. I have the same truck, 90 2wd and my brakes have never felt this good since I've owned it. (Going on 20 years)
I don't think I'll cut the wires. Probably just leave them there
Just did this on 1994 k1500 5.7 rcsb with rwal dump valve . The lower fuitting on the dump valve took a larger wrench than the fitting on the proportioning valve but the threads were the same so it was a plug and play with no brake adapters needed fyi.
HEFFTONE, or anyone....can ANYONE please tell me that has actually deleted the ABS.......does the CRUISE CONTROL STILL WORK??? Thanks to anyone that can answer....the Cruise is my only worry...I don't want to lose it.
Yes. I deleted RWAL on my 88, the 3 channel garbage on my 98, and the ABS doesn't work on my 97. Cruise is unaffected.
Why do you think this has something to cruise control? By unplugging the the antilock control box their is never a fault code sent to ecm.
How did it go? I have the same thing.
