Just wanting opinions before I go off the deep end.
My other toy a 1977 C10 with a 388SB, big valved camel heads and mild cam started making a tick noise. At first I figured lifter/valve noise so I checked rockers on both sides… no fix. Checked both exhaust manifolds for loose bolts, no joy. Pulled the mechanical fuel pump and ran the truck without installed and still have the tick.
Just wondering what the minds of GMT400 have to say before I drop the oil pan and checking the rotating assembly or worse… I just LS1 swap it with the motor on the stand.
Thanks much guys,
