The shop that did agree to do it said I would have to pay the hourly rate instead of their job price. I didn't really care at that point.

They have pre-sets in a computer, and choose the car they are aligning. So dumbasses can do it, but then if it strays from that at all, they're lost.

I had a modified MX5 once, and wanted particular numbers for an alignment. The guy didn't have a clue on how to do that. Luckily in poking around, he brought up the specs for an RX8, that got him in the neighborhood he needed to be in. It all boiled down to the icons on screen, going from red to green when it hit the numbers.

I’m at the shop now. It took 3 different drivers to get it on the rack. I guess it’s true that no one can drive a stick anymore

$190 later, and it drives a heckuvalot better. It's not scary over 50 mph anymore and I feel a lot more confident in Dodgey now.

I don't think they did much besides set the toe and run the caster adjusters all the way out. I'm in a good mood so I don't even care.

Still works! It's backwards though. I can get used to that.

The gauge is based on 73 horseshoes is empty, and 10 is full. The sender is a GM sender with 0 is empty and 90 is full.

I never waitched that (my son did) but he now has a series on Motor Trend - something like "Roadworthy salvage" or other. Pretty funny with terms like "Spark-a-lator", "Fire Hose", etc.
