Got home from work and unplugged the EGR. We will see how it starts cold after sitting all night and the drive to work.

The only one missing in your list is the EGR sensor GND at C1 41. I didn't find any mention of this one in my spreadsheet (1998 L31) from Lextech. I'll look again... there's probably a reason for this disparity that I've yet to discover.

All these references jibe with the wiring diagram posted by @L31MaxExpress a few posts back in this thread and copied below, with C1 41 circled.

You're missing C1 41. C2 41 is accounted for.

There are two entries on the wiring diagram for "41", one of them for connector C1 and another for connector C2.

Ahh got it. My sheet does not show a Blue C1-41

I didn't find any reference about it on my Lextech sheet either.

I don't have time to find out where it's connected on the black box ECU, but I'm curious.

I'm going out of town for a few days, carry on please!!!

I need to look at my 1998 Service Manual. I'm wondering if the EGR sensor ground (on the "black box" vehicles) is spliced to some other sensor grounds and returned to the ECU as an ensemble. And so, for the 0411 conversion, that splice is allowed to remain and the ensemble of sensor grounds, together as they are, find a home on some other pin of the 0411 (not C1 41) that's believed to be suitable.

Thanks, I'm headed to northern WI to do unspeakable things in the woods
