0411 PCM ? - can I just use the 2002 harness on my 97 L31

I picked up a 2002 0411 PCM out of Chevy Van that was running a L31 motor. I realized later that I needed the first foot or so of the wire harness after I left the yard. I am going back soon to grab the portion of the harness I need but that got me thinking. Can't I just use the complete, un-cut harness on my 1997 L31 motor? Is it a simple remove and replace thing?

also, I understand flashing the PCM w/ the 02 Van file, but since I got this from a 02 van w/ L31, I shouldn't need to flash anything right?

You could rob the harness for spare parts and connector pigtails but it is way different than a truck harness.

I was going to do the same thing with my 97 van but the even the 97 van and 2002 van had alot of differences.
