Performance Calipers?

I’ve got a 97 C1500 with the 1.25” thick front rotors that I just swapped for drilled/slotted, DJM 2” drop spindles. I’d really like to complete the upgrade by going with a bolt on caliper like Wilwood or Brembo, but from the looks of our, the D52 bolt on kits are for 1” rotors for years up to...

How to Identify Original Calipers

I am curious if my 1989 Silverado has the original brake calipers. Is there any way to tell? Would they have a date code and where would it be located on the caliper?

Cardone Brake Calipers?

I don't know if I should rebuild my front brake calipers or replace them. Has anyone had experience with Cardone Ultra Premium calipers? They have a finish that looks nice to me and is supposed to last. https://www.carid.com/cardone/premium-replacement-brake-caliper.html

1.25” rotors to 1” conversion

So in a regretful decision made in haste I ordered the 1” Light Duty rotor version of dropped spindles from McGaughys for my 1998 Sierra Extended cab. Sending back the spindles is not an option. What all do I need to do to make these spindles work? TIA.
