Please help

at the risk of sounding ignorant ( as I don't work constantly on my 98), when you changed the transfer case did you disconnect the battery? I had a similar problem: I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes, connected it again and the 4x4 worked just fine. Just a thought.

Horn problems...

I have had similar problem with my 98. Once I took off the air bag I looked around. I saw a little plastic insert where the wire is attached to (it has a small spring at the end). This had broken and would not stay in the hole to make a connection. Once I fixed that, the horn worked fine. It is...

1998 Silverado 4wd Issues

Just for giggles, have you tried to disconnect the battery off for about half an hour or so and then reconnect it? My 98 truck had similar issue and once I disconnected and reconnected the battery it all worked fine. Just another thought.
