    I can't give you much help on the not passing the S but I have had my brake light flashing a code on my 90 for a few years and never any trouble. I'm also in Virginia. I have a pair of sunglasses in a soft case that sits on that side in the dash spot which covers it up. Don't know if that is why...

    The part that would need to bend would be the female connection that goes to the dryer. Can you bend that piece also?

    I have a 90 C1500 with the 350. The bigger hose on the assembly has a hole in it. I went to napa auto to get the hose assembly and tried putting it on but it seems like the hard line 90 is bent the wrong way for the bigger line going to the fire wall area.
