    Nv4500 clutch recommendations?

I put a nv4500 in my 91 1500 ecsb in 2016. Luk clutch kit, stock replacement flywheel, master, & throw out bearing from oreillys. Everything works great even pulling the occasional load that’s more than what’s appropriate for a half ton.

    89 c2500 TH400 rebuild or replace???

waiting on my TH400 book to get here but I got the trans pulled out of Tommy and this is the torque converter. The "ripples" on the shaft are a reflection of the vane welds. shaft is smooth except for the wear. 89trans5 by tardisguy posted Apr 16, 2021 at 10:15 AM89trans4 by tardisguy posted...

    89 c2500 TH400 rebuild or replace???

Found out this evening that my uncle has the original TH400 that was in the truck. He had it swapped because it would not shift until high RPM. He didn't have time to fool with it at that time (no truck, no income) so he had another one built and put in. I have read that a bad vacuum...

    89 c2500 TH400 rebuild or replace???

    89 c2500 TH400 rebuild or replace???

Before 1st startup I checked trans fluid level and it was low so I added to full mark knowing it will probably take more once motor was running and trans had distributed fluid to all the passages and all. Started motor and quickly check trans fluid to make sure it was not super low. No fluid...

    89 c2500 TH400 rebuild or replace???

Hey everyone, been awhile. My uncle recently gave me his old work truck and I have been working on getting it back up to snuff after being parked for the past 5 years. Long story short, the truck was stolen 5 years ago, but my uncle got it back a week later with only a busted column and it has...

    88GMCtruck's NV4500 Swap

Clutch safety switch uses same wires as neutral safety switch. I still have not installed the safety switch on my set up. Truck will start as long as I leave the shift collar on the column in park (truck still has the auto column). I have it set up like that as a theft deterrent. I...

    Complete rebuild question

I'm in San Antonio, TX. There is a difference between classic and antique plates. Classic plates are more just to look cool, no real benefits (annual registration or inspection still must be done) Antique plate on the other hand, have special rules. Plates cost around $55 and are good for 5...

    Where do tie down straps?

This is where they are in the Suburbans/Tahoe/Yukons The base is one piece. You can use the factory bolt but you need to find a nut for the bolt because they bolt into a fitting in the floorpan of the Suburbans etc.

    Where do tie down straps?

I use the OEM triangular tie down loops that GM installed on the cargo floor of the GMT400 suburbans/tahoes. 1 bolt and they are pretty sturdy. I mounted mine on top of the bedrail at each corner of the bed as well as one centered on the rear wheel well on each side on top of the bed rail.
