88 rotor/hub to 97 rotor and hubs change

Also, whenever you are doing brake work or whatever, you want to repack those wheel bearings and make sure they are in good shape.....just makes sense. I wish the newer hubs were serviceable like the older ones, rather than just replacement non greaseable units.

Towing camper will 4:10 gears be better?

You will probably find that you will get just as good mileage in 3rd as in overdrive towing......

Towing camper will 4:10 gears be better?

Agreed Tow in OD if you like, but you will be replacing the transmission before long. Also, take a look at your trailer tires, I bet they are not rated for more than 65 mph anyways.

    Trans flush

Sounds like its toast....You might try adding a can of Lucas Trans Fix.....add it to the existing fluid. It may buy you some time....and dont beat on it

Engine weirdness in the city (could be tranny?)

If the check engine light came on, it threw a code....put a scanner on it and see what code is there. Also, when a trans is overfull, the fluid will foam up....I would drain a bit out

    Help no gauges or taillights

What year truck? A lot of the older ones, the dash lights are tied into the running lights. If not a fuse, likely a broken wire somewhere
  22. poncho62

    wheel hub mounting bolts

Dealer.....They have a smaller head on them so you can put a socket through the hole in the hub flange

    Engine removal

If its just the engine you need to remove, I would suggest leaving the trans and transfer case in the truck. The trans shouldnt fall much, if at all. The hardest part is probably going to be getting the exhaust loose.

Brake pulsation and hop from rear

The caliper shouldnt cause the vibration, but may be the cause of the excess heat...I would replace them along with the rubber hoses.
