OEM or Aftermarket Bedliner & Bed Cover (plus GMC banner question)

It's a small, but deep dent. Whatever hit it dented the banner and the tailgate.

OEM or Aftermarket Bedliner & Bed Cover (plus GMC banner question)

SkyHighColorado, a picture would be great. Thanks! Kennythewelder, I was wanting to know if any aftermarket place (LMC, etc...) has the banner for sale.

OEM or Aftermarket Bedliner & Bed Cover (plus GMC banner question)

I have seen one or two of these items in the past two years, and was wondering if these are GM made or custom made by somebody. 1. The original GMC banner / stripe Mine has a pretty good dent in it, and short of finding a used tailgate and swapping them, is there a source of new banners...

    The Stupid Engine Questions Thread

Quick question..... I noticed that the aluminum tube that goes from the air intake to the bottom of the engine is missing from my 90 Sierra. Also found that the spring that controls the flap where the tube connects to the air intake is missing, so the flap just stays open all the time. What is...

    Floor Mat Differences

True. I still have the Husky ones that came with it when I bought it. The things covered the whole floor/foot area, and must've trapped some water under them. Made the carpet under the mat smell of mold, so I took them out. Still have them if anybody wants them.

    Floor Mat Differences

Ok, thanks for the help! I know the stock mats aren't the best by far, but it'll complete the original look. $24 more dollars drained into the truck. :)

    Floor Mat Differences

I also wasn't sure if there were different rear mats for extended cab and crew cab trucks, or if they were all the same. Then that brings the question of whether the floormat shape was changed in '92, along with the other changes.

    Floor Mat Differences

I was searching and found two different variations of the floor mat that goes in the floor of the extended cab part. In my 92 GMC, the mat in the extended cab area has a shape like (sorry I don't have pictures): Then I saw an auction for these GM floormats: I am not sure which shaped...

    Opinions on dash carpet?

The dash isn't cracked, but an extra layer of protection won't hurt it. It came in yesterday, and it fits pretty well. I didn't use any of the adhesive strips since it doesn't move around any.

    Found some major brake damage

Well then, off to buy those parts. Although I've been pleased with how cheap the parts so far have cost. Even the cylinder wasn't that bad.

    Found some major brake damage

Ever since I owned this truck, the brakes have been on the "mushy" side. I could pump the brakes a couple of times to build the pressure up, and it would stay pressured for a while, then loose it all. Recently, I could pump the brakes and no pressure would build at all. I checked and found that...

    Opinions on dash carpet?

I'm toying around with the idea of putting one of those carpet dash covers in my '90 Sierra. Thought it looked neat, and is another measure to prevent the 24 year old plastic from cracking. I searched around and found some sources of them. One thing I didn't quite see is if they cover up...

    Standard vs Metric Door Bushings

I actually tried Dormans in the first place, but they crumpled apart when I tapped them into place. I returned those and exchanged them for a Needa? brand kit, which held up to some small tapping. :) I'd say that the holes are indeed worn out from the heavily used looks of the door itself. (The...

    Standard vs Metric Door Bushings

Was getting tired of slamming my door every day, so I replaced the bushings and pin in it. I found that after I replaced the bushings, I still had to slam the door to shut it fully. On my truck, the hole where the bushings fit into is a tiny bit bigger than what I had seen on a different GMT400...

    My 1990 GMC Sierra

Well, here's what you'll find me driving around most days: I bought it back in July, and had to drive to the next state over (Tennessee) to get it. Didn't have any luck finding a GMC in VA. :) Back picture: That is one of the main reasons why I chose the specific year of this truck. I liked...

Strange sound after I installed an oil pressure sender

I re-installed the oil pressure sender in my '90 Sierra to get rid of the aftermarket gauge that was in there. I got it installed snugly and properly connected, but now when my truck is running, I hear a rapid clicking coming from the rear of the engine. Also when I accelerate, the clicking...

    Identify a GMC truck?

This is a mock-up drawing of what it looked like: I've seen the GMC W/T with the three-section grille, but the one pictured above is the exact thing I saw.

    Identify a GMC truck?

Don't know how this would be classified, but it somewhat pertains to the body. A few months ago, I drove by a used car dealership and they had a GMC truck that had this exact grille style.... ......except instaed of the Chevy bowtie, it had a GMC logo. I have only seen this (C1500?) grille...

    Successfully fixed my receiver box

At least it wasn't fault of the early 2000s capacitor plague. I've fixed *many* PCs that were affected by that, and some of those caps actually burst the electrolytic juice onto the side panel of the PC. These caps in the receiver boxes are just a problem of old age, thank goodness.

    Successfully fixed my receiver box

For those who would love to keep the original radio and cassette player in their 88-94 trucks, but don't want to pay a lump sum to get the receiver box fixed, I've fixed mine with some new capacitors and some soldering skills. The problem with these receiver boxes is over time, the capacitors...

Questions about the radio receiver box.

Just remembered something; how would I tell the difference between the receiver boxes that support the EQ cassette player and the ones that don't? I'm currently working on the one that is original to my truck (1990) which has two boards inside, but one I pulled from a '92 Chevy has only one...

Questions about the radio receiver box.

That's kind of what I was expecting to be the answer. Oh well, thanks for the input. I've narrowed down (at least 99%) that the problem is originating from the board (in the box) where the cassette player and radio head plugs into. The second board, which the antenna plugs into, isn't causing...

Questions about the radio receiver box.

I've got a few questions about the receiver boxes in the 88-94 trucks. -First, did GM officially recognize it as a faulty part? -Second, were those receiver boxes used only in the 88-94 trucks or were they used in other vehicles as well? I don't think they were used in the 95-98 line, since...

    Howdy from southwest VA!

That and the silver stripe with "GMC" on the tailgate were the main reasons why I got it. I'll upload some pictures of it when I get the chance.
