    Headlight switch gets hot

    I got the heavy duty wire harness from LMC for this problem as I went thru 4 or 5 headlight switches in my 94. After I put that in, its been fine for over 14 years now. It was really easy to put in, took maybe 45 minutes total. I also did the 4-hi mod when I did this.

    No one makes these yet. I have looked for years as others have. The only thing you can do at present is find one from a salvage yard. I have been writing to LMC Truck to make this part as there are hundreds of us that will buy one. Write to them and show them there is a demand for this part...

    Did the sound deadner make a difference? I put some in the doors of my 94 Blazer and will be doing the roof when I redo the headliner this spring.

    Yes. I can get them to unlock but not lock. Its really weird.

    I am working on the swap right now. I got the handles in and all but can't get the doors to lock from turning the key handle. I did everything written in this forum. I don't know what I have done wrong. I can unlock doors but not lock them.

    The driver door handle comes in on Tuesday, FedEx.... so it will be next week when I can do this mod. I will post pics. I am going to try and make some more rods first though before I install them in my truck. That way I can have extras and see if it can be done.

    Found a passenger side set in a door off a 3500HD, got it for $60! So now I have the complete set for driver and passenger side. I will be doing this mod I hope by the end of this week on my 94 Blazer.

    I now have a complete set. I got a passenger side door with the handle and rods for $60. I need to order the driver side handle and those little plastic clips for the driver side and I am good to go. I am still going to try and fabricate some new ones with the hardware store stuff I bought...

    Found a set of these but the guy wont let me just have the handles and rods, wants me to buy both doors. wants $120 for both doors. A few months ago I could have done it. Not now.... have to wait for spring when I am busier at work.
