    Rear ac delete

Hey guys got a question. 1998 GMC Yukon 4x4 4dr. I recently removed the rear air conditioning unit out of my rig. Replaced all the necessary ac lines with the right lines for no rear air. I didn’t cut any wires or anything for the rear air controls. Question is, will it still function with the...

    4x4 coil overs?

Makes sense on all points. Even the guy that did it said the ride quality didnt change, the only real advantage was losing the weight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    4x4 coil overs?

Was looking through one of the 88-98 Chevy groups, saw this guy talking about his LS swapped 4wd truck he races, he put coil over shocks in the front and completely removed the the torsion bars. Has anyone done it or tried, or heard anything else on it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

who are the go to steering/suspension parts now?

For the bracket I went with the Supersteer, beefier, adjustable, and yes more expensive. Cognito sells these for $285, I went directly through Supersteer and paid $185 https://supersteerparts.com/products/supersteer-ss170-idler-arm-support-for-93-98-gm-1500-2500-trucks-and-suvs.html Sent from...

who are the go to steering/suspension parts now?

I just did all Mevotech about a month ago, couldn’t be happier, here’s a moog tie rod next to a Mevotech tie rod, huge difference Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tie rods: 2WD VS 4WD?

Different brands have their own way to fasten them, I had some moog that had a nylon nut and some have had a castle nut, the Mevotech ttx I have now have oversized castle nuts. Just depends on the brands I guess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did you bleed the gearbox? I just put my redhead in the other day and they have a specific bleeding process you must follow or it could void your warranty Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need a new power steering gearbox......

If it’s that easy turn it’s no better than what you have. My Redhead gear fresh out of the box has no play and you can’t turn it by hand. I thought it might be a bad unit until I called them, they said if it’s easy to turn by hand, it’s worn out. I’ll go with what they say since that’s what they...

I did that on the gearbox I have in now, it was ok then started leaking again, that’s why I bought the redhead Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need a new power steering gearbox......

I was in your shoes, I was going back and forth between a rebuilt from autozone, or from redhead or bluetop. I was going to get a bluetop because it was like $30 cheaper than redhead, but decided against it and went ahead with the redhead. Still haven’t installed it yet though, been working too...

    Another Transfer Case problem...

I would go through and check all your wiring, from the switch all the way down to the tail shaft vss. If you see any ground wires loose or torn, fix them, these truck are notorious for acting stupid if a ground is not connected Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

'97 Suburban Rear Cargo Door Panel

They’re held on with push pins similar to the front doors if I remember right. I pulled mine off a few years ago and and backed them with 1/2in ply to be able to mount some things to them, but I’ve drank a lot of beer since then Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1996 Chevrolet K1500 Suburban

I was right there with you, was in a whole other mindset since July, New Year’s Eve started working on mine again, she just sat, I would start her up but not really drive her. Breakups are hard, mine took me by surprise, 7 years and only two fights [emoji2375], she moved out while I was at...

    Alternator excite wire

Ok so I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before, check your alternator to battery cable. I just checked mine and this was the second time I’ve replaced it, it gets burned! Haven’t figured out how or why just yet but this is the second time I’ve replaced it. I’m only running a 145 amp...

I’ve got an ad244 and it’s acting dumb, used to charge at about 13.9 now it stays below 13.3 if there’s very little draw, once my fans kick in it drops to about 12.4-12.6 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
