4l60e cracked case for 3rd time

Mixing rubber and polyurethane motor/trans mounts can cause challenges like that. I'd also be checking hardware to ensure you don't have a bolt or stud that is too long.

Straight Axle Lift / Tire Size Combos

98 K3500 Offroad unlimited solid axle kit, 4" Tuff Country springs, 35x13.50R20 Cepek FC II on 20x10s. Sold a coupe years ago to a guy in Florida and he sold it to a guy in michigan I am told. Last I saw of it, it had red SS stripes and 454SS decals.

Steering knuckle lift

Buy an RCD they come with Bilstein shocks. If all you want is 4" of lift just don't install the rear addaleaf and don't crank the torsion bars up. That is what I did with my 98 K2500 8 lug.

Rear axle is engine dependent on K2500, 350 get 9.5SF, 454 and 6.5 diesel got 10.5FF

'97 2500/3500 front gear case question

The only difference between a K2500 and a K3500 is the transfer case. The K2500 has a new process and the K3500 has a borg warner. The frame, front differential and rear axle....if the K2500 has a 454 are identical and interchangeable. The K2500 with a 350 has a semi floating 9.5" 14 bolt...

My wifes 2016 Ford Explorer is rusting already...

Same problem that many 2000+ Tahoe, Yukon and Suburban rear gates have as some of them are aluminum and they get similar corrosion.

Will 37s fit on 6" rc lift

So you are realistically setting at 4" lift. No way 37s will fit without major cutting. Truthfully with that offset a 35 will require a ton of trimming...bumper and back of fender. Either crank to 6 and install rear addaleaf or run a narrower wheel to run 35s. I doubt 37s will fit without a...
