    Complete loss of 12V power......

I agree with checking for corrosion at the battery terminals. If your truck still uses the side posts, You won't see how bad it is until you take those connections apart.

    TBI vs Vortec

I have a 95 and 97, both trucks are identical besides the engine obviously, color, and tire size. 275/60r15 on the 95, 255/70r16 on the 97. The 97 has more power as expected, the 95 consistently gets 1-2mpg more... which is interesting considering several people on this thread claim the vortec...

    My GMT800 build!

It's worth it, I put one in my 06 Avalanche. It does a bit to "update" the interior, and not to mention you get a trans temp gauge.

XJ Steering Shaft Upgrade (88-94 Trucks) 95+instructions on page 31

Anybody try this method yet? This looks like a better, easier and possibly cheaper solution than the flaming river u-joint I've done before. The dorman shaft is only $75 on RockAuto.

    hvac trouble

I forgot about this issue I had over seven years ago. The top blend door broke free of the HVAC housing. With some cussing and flexibility I could get the door back in place from underneath the dash by the actuator, but I wasn't able to permanently fix it til I replaced my dash and used a zip...

    Steering slack

The 95+ shaft does not have an extra joint, it just moved the joint that was under the hood near the firewall to underneath the dash. It's when you put the XJ/Borgeson shaft to a 95+ that you end up with the extra joint. You can replace the rag joint on a 95 shaft with a Flaming River u-joint...

    Torque converter not locking up

If it's not that brake switch, could be a faulty throttle position sensor. What year model we talking about here? I forget which year it started, but you might have PWM lockup. Wonderful garbage engineering from GM.

    95 TBI 350 - Loosing spark advance?

No sorry, I've maybe driven the truck 300 miles since I posted this. Truck has been running as it should, so I haven't bothered with it for now.

    Blower - Direction needed

Drop the glove box and look for connectors with a pair of red and black wires passing through them. See if the connection is burned.

    hvac trouble

It's right by the pedal, it will be in plain sight under the dash. You'll see two linkages with springs attached to it. Often, those linkages just need to be lubed and the actuator will still be okay.

    NSA? Illuminati? Both?

I have that same headunit in my 97, except without the CD player. Excellent headunit for the money, just a little hard to read the display in sunlight.

    95 TBI 350 - Loosing spark advance?

Been awhile since I posted on here but I'm having an ongoing intermittent issue with my 95 TBI 350. Seems to me I'm not getting enough spark advance at times. Some days it has the power it should have, others it feels like it's falling on its face pulling itself up hill. Couple this with an...

XJ Steering Shaft Upgrade (88-94 Trucks) 95+instructions on page 31

If you can run a cutoff tool and drill press, you got it under control. You can PM me if you run into any issues. I see your point about the shaft being hollow, but I'm not worried about it. The shaft is still fairly thick, I was able to make rather deep dimples for the set screws. Whatever...

XJ Steering Shaft Upgrade (88-94 Trucks) 95+instructions on page 31

You can also split and remove the rag joint assembly from the 95+ shaft and install a Flaming River FR1746DD u-joint in its place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This. But you know, if you can get the air cleaner to flow 1000cfm, the throttle body and heads will magically flow that much too. /s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
