    MORGAN AURORA 88 Rebuild

I scored an old vice from my buddy for a case of beer. It's a Morgan Aurora 88. You Tubed it and apparently Morgan moved shop to Aurora sometime in the 70's ish. Before being bought by Milwaukee. It is useable, but in rough shape - but with some searching garagejournal forum and google, I was...

How Many Miles Do You Think My Truck Has Based On This Picture

The Odometer stopped working at 75,123. Based on seat condition, how many real miles do you think it has? 1990 K3500 Flatbed I started pulling the dash, that's why it looks like that.

How to Mothball my project Truck - (Question)

So, bought a project truck, 1990 K3500 454 Flatbed Dually. Ran when parked. It sat for two years in Wyoming, wouldn't start, had it shipped to VA as in-op. Got it in my yard, sat for another year. Fixed the ECU (water damage), ran good enough to get it to the shed. Started...

    Sum Ting Wong

Starting to fix up my farm truck (1990 K3500 454) and have bought the shop manual(s). I couldn't find the diagram in the manual matching my current set up. Searched this website and found a service manual that includes RVs and that looks similar to how mine is set up. I suspect someone...

    Easy Flatbed Removal - How?

I'm still prepping my Farm truck for the body off "restore". Is there a slick way to remove the heavy flatbed by myself? Unbolting it, is not the issue, pulling it from the frame and putting it back on is. I'm thinking of backing it back out of the shed onto a platform made of scrap wood, just...

Question: How to get at the ECM

I'm trying to swap out my ECM, and have the new part in hand. I took the glove box out and can see the ECM but can't figure out how it's bolted in. Am I going to have to remove the whole dash? Trying to avoid that if possible. 1990 K3500 454 TBI Below is a pic of the frustratingly close ECM.

Rebuild - But not Restore, K3500 Farm Truck

42 My plan for years was to get a hard working Truck and rebuild it from the ground up. Being Slightly OCD, I laid forth a plan. Truth Table: Buy A house with Acreage CHECK - 2 Acres (not a farm, but close enough) House has to have a detached Garage in the North 40 CHECK - See Pic below...

Use In Tank Fuel Pump to drain Tank - Good or Bad idea

So my truck has been sitting for a year with a quarter tank of gas, no stabilizer. I traced the starting issue back to the ECM, which got wet. New ECM should be here today, but I don't want to install it until I know I can drive it under it's own power to my work shed. To drive it, I am...

    ECM - Difference between EM7747 and EM8747

I have an 1990 K3500 Auto 454 and suspect the ECM is bad. Looked up the part numbers and these two come up: EM7747 and EM8747 Took a picture of my ECM EM8747 but am curious if anyone knows the difference between the two. My guess: A/C control or Federal Smog or Man Trans vs Auto Trans.
