    So, update. finally installed a year later. Yes, the cognito brackets work with this lift, so I assume they would work with most 4-6 inch lifts. Thanks again.

    My experience so far, the front diff is a little trickier to find 4.56. Only time Ive ever used 4 wheel in this truck has been due to bad roads. In other words I don't use it much, I'm not worried about gearing at the same time. I'll pull the fuse for 4x4 until I get it geared properly.

    That's basically what I'm going for, except add disc brakes. Yup you're right. Some have 8 lug, but I found a 14 bolt ff axle w/4.56 from hillbilly wizard. I think. I visited so many sites I can't differentiate anymore.

    Incase anyone still reading. I put the highest end moog everything on my k2500 sub 99, ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman arms, and all bushings front and back minus lower control arm. That was around 5-6k miles ago. The only part that flat out failed almost right away was the idler arm bracket...
