    Brake problems, f*** EU regulation

    Brake problems, f*** EU regulation

This is whats on there, painted RED by the PO, not me, looks tacky me thinks. RPO code says JB3, so that is what they should be, but are they?

    Power Steering

Eating a donut while backing out of the driveway should be safe... Doing donuts while backing out is probably somewhat more hazardous, be safe out there ;)

    Brake problems, f*** EU regulation

I figured you were confusing the Swede for the Norwegian...;) JB3 Does not get much love it seems ... But on our truck they now work surprisingly well. The PO has done some brake work it seems. Front calipers are supposedly new... Maybe he f-ed up and put JB5's on, IDK. As long as they are...

    Brake problems, f*** EU regulation

IIRC JB3, its a 1990 K1500 Z71 truck. Rear Abs function verified on ice... Not super impessive, but still ABS.. isch

    Brake problems, f*** EU regulation

Changed brake fluid and Vaccuum bled our truck, but I were lazy and only did the fronts. Also its a Rear ABS only vehicle, so different from yours. However brakes are better than ever, with firm pedal that engages early. Maybe start with a fluid swap, its plausible that Vac bleeding works...

350 TBI Boggs and surges under load

I was talking about the pickup coil, I think everything else ignition wise have already been replaced.

350 TBI Boggs and surges under load

I know you replaced the ICM, and measured pickup coil resistance. But at this point I would consider trying a Delphi or Delco coil just to rule that one out. Or better yet, put a timing light on it and have someone rew the engine.

12V battery charger question for the experts

The Idea is not bad, its simple and might work. But I think a diode in series might work even better. The resistor will only drop the voltage as long as there is current flow to that small battery. As SOC increases current decreases, so in the end the voltage drop will be very small and...

    Battery

I was just about to help you figure it out. Then I read this. Now I don't feel like it anymore....

350 TBI Boggs and surges under load

Thats an aftermarket distributor. Which does not have to be a bad thing, considering you replaced all the problematic parts... All but one... When I bought mine I did some digging in the Amazon Reviews and the ICM and Pickup coil seem to be failiing/faulty at somewhat high rates. Theese threads...

1993 Yukon crate motor hydraulic roller lifter cleaning and adjustment journey - (Solved)

I think proper valve adjustment can have a positive influence as in less tight = more vaccuum, which could make a slight leak less "slight" :)

GM OEM Tbi to speadbore adapter.

Yes thoose will work...sorta, hell I could probaly fab one like that up myself. BUT... I'm really set on the GM one because of the water jacket. GM seem to have spent a lot of effort heating them TBI manifolds. My experience is they normally only do things like that if they feel it's...

Will I have to balence the rotating assembly on forged rods and pistons?

You don't HAVE to, but you probably should. ;) A 90 degree V8 is balanced somewhat similar to a single cylinder engine, so in the following example, just think of it as just a single cylinder engine The idea of balancing is to counteract the g force of the rod and piston changing direction at...

    '98 K1500 Front Coilover Swap

Maybe in the "Lifted and Offroad" section IDK ;) But no, In general it is not at all what this forum is about. Many internet forums are full of people that seem to get a kick out off pissing on other less knowledgeable members, kind off like you did in the part I quoted above. This forum is...

UCA hitting frame at full travel

Ouch  But on the bright side... Not a lot of rust on it. Also you're missing a pair of driveshafts to be doing this kind of thing... But dont sell it, just put it closer to the ground and buy one more truck. One that has those missing driveshafts. Lift that one instead.
