I'm a Subaru guy and my grandpa loved modified cars so I have no problem sticking a Ford rear under my GM. Next I'm going to pick up the engine for the LS swap on Thursday.

    Conventional 5W-30 No Longer Available?

I wouldn't have thought it would be. My assumption was that it would be more like an 80/90 gear oil with that name. I'm new to GM stuff and automatic transmissions. This truck being the first one I've had. I've always built subaru's with manuals. I work at orilley's selling and delivery parts...

Monroe coilovers or Monroe Gas Magnum rear shocks?

I just went and looked and it is a 10 bolt. Is the 14 bolt something I can buy and bolt in or is there another rear end I can put in? My ultimate goal is an lq4 swap after I finish all the important stuff first.

    30 year old open recall

My friend is a salesman at GMC and ran my vin #. There is an open recall that never expires. Apparently it has something to do with the transmission catching fire. I'm going to ask the service department about it monday and see if they can even get the part / parts needed

Monroe coilovers or Monroe Gas Magnum rear shocks?

I would have got the Bilsteins since that is what was on it but orileys doesn't have them available right now. They say special order but when I put in a request I was told they aren't available.

Monroe coilovers or Monroe Gas Magnum rear shocks?

I'm not really sure what rear end it has. The window sticker says it came with a locking diff and 3.73 gears but that's all I know. The truck seems to stop just fine the trailer brakes work really well when I'm towing. Nothing seems to be wrong just wondering if the coilovers are any better than...

Monroe coilovers or Monroe Gas Magnum rear shocks?

It's getting new leafsprings as well. My work only offers dorman leaf springs but offers a few options for the shocks.
