    I was almost as ignorant, over thinking, and confused as you! I was going to remove the bracket too thinking it was incorrectly installed by the prior owner. I just find it really odd that it is the design. I would think the frame rails would be square which only leads me to believe the bracket...

    I'm replacing my front sway bar bushings on my 91 2wd and noticed the passenger's side has a spacer bracket on the frame where the sway bar bracket mounts to. The driver's side does not have this spacer and the sway bar bracket mounts directly to the frame. Just want to know if this is normal or...

    can anyone confirm if that frame bracket/spacer that the sway bar bushing is mounted to, is only on the passenger's side? Mine doesn't have one on the driver's side and makes me wonder if that is the original design or if original owner did something...

    hmm hold up a minute, I failed to mention that my trip meter is the reason I want to swap clusters. My trip meter doesn't reset when I push the plunger, soo.. I found a replacement cluster with an operable trip meter but I am trying to figure out the best way to have the correct odometer...

    ok, i'll be trying to swap the whole odometer assembly first. I am going to pull the original odometer assembly with original mileage from my cluster and try to swap it into my replacement cluster. hope it will be a 1-for-1 swap.

    yes, i understand turning the numbers backwards will show silver lines... but does tuning it forward in number sequence also show silver lines? can you tell me the proper way to dial in a specific number reading as i want to match my replacement cluster to the proper mileage or is it better...

    how did you turn the numbers to zero? Did you turn each number cylinder backwards or does it have to go forward with a little force?

    @Schurkey - Do you have more info on the correct master cylinder and brake booster needed? are you saying I need them from either the extended cab or the later models but still pre-1999?

    My truck is a 1991 c1500 regular cab. It came with the 1.0" thickness rotors on the front. These are commonly referred to as the Light Duty (LD)" brakes. I believe after 1992 (?) all c1500 trucks came with "Heavy Duty (HD)" rotors which were 1.25" thick. I am trying to convert over to the 1.25"...

    Wondering if the LD caliper brackets are the same for the HD calipers? I can't find any on rockauto to compare part numbers. I am converting from LD to HD brake 1.25" rotors and have the rotors, calipers, bearings, and spindle but don't know if my existing caliper bracket is compatible. thanks...

    so i called Aldan and they said that the #300220 coilovers are about an inch shorter in length so in theory, they should add an additional inch to the drop range. Trade off is that the max height setting is also an inch less when compared to the longer #300132 coilovers.

    Thank you for explaining, makes total sense as I didn't think about the stock spring perch and pressure points . Not sure if anyone might know the difference between the two single adjustable 700lb coilovers that Aldan offers #300132 and #300220. Website says #300220 is for custom control arms...

    First post here... thinking about installing a double din with the metra bezel but I have a 5-speed with stock shifter. Will the head unit interfere with my shifter when I'm in 1, 3, or OD? From pictures of the bezel, it looks like the headunit protrudes out a bit... searched around the forum...
