    Upshift Help

I appreciate everyone's help trying to diagnose this issue. I ended up pulling the tranny and tearing it back down and discovered that the 3rd gear clutches were fried. There's a retired transmission mechanic down the way that now rebuilds out of the shop at his house as a hobby. He thinks the...

    Upshift Help

@tayto, I didn’t replace the harness and I used the HD2. @Schurkey, my code reader isn’t that detailed, internet research of the code pointed at the solenoid being bad. It shifts through all of the gears like normal when it working and when it F-s up it still shifts from 1st to 2nd and back...

I also installed a Tru-Cool 40K with a thermal bypass as I live in a mountainous area and live full time in a slide...

    No Reverse 4L80

This time last year I rebuilt my 4L80 and now reverse isn't working, when I manually drop into 2nd on downhills it also doesn't work though manual 3rd works fine. Works great going forward in drive and it appears to work fine manually shifting through the gear except for the downhill...

    Poly Bushings

Interesting, I came up with the same number for Prothane but a different one for Energy Suspension. 3.3134 is the number I got from their website but it's for the 97 and under K3500. How did you get that number if you don't mind me asking?

    Poly Bushings

haha, it happens, I do appreciate your help. Moog has a rubber one listed for the rear position and AC Delco for the front, they are different lengths, I crawled under with a tape measurer. Both of those are single piece. If I have to go with rubber I will but I do prefer poly. I read somewhere...

    Poly Bushings

Yeah, I'm constantly running into this. I often use 98 as my model year when looking for parts because of it. I've been researching all morning for lower control arm bushings in particular as they made a stamped and a forged arm. Info on the stamped arm bushings is everywhere but the forged is...

    Poly Bushings

I've got a 99 classic K3500 and I'm looking for a poly bushing master kit. I've always used energy suspension but their website only has a master kit for up to a 97 for these trucks, but up to 98 for the K1500 and K2500. Has anyone ordered this set and put it in a 98 or 99 classic K3500? Or tips...

What is the strongest driver side drop mechanical shift transfer case?

I am just finishing up my rebuild on a 4401 and I have been having a hell of a time finding info and parts on this case. I called the dealer this morning to try and find a speed sensor ring on the output shaft and it's been discontinued. I asked him why I was having so much trouble when the case...

    Trouble Shooting

I could use a little help troubleshooting. I have a 99 classic, K3500 that I blew the tranny on 2+ years ago. I finally got around to rebuilding the tranny, getting it reinstalled last week. During the test drive it acts like it’s in 4 low as far as shifting and power but the front wheels aren’t...
