I'll try that. Ironically I grabbed the Loctite FROM my gun box. I left it in there after I mounted a red dot.

That is the one. They were running a special until New Years, free shipping, so I snagged one. As far as the reception drop... That is to be determined. I made a mistake of putting some blue Loctite on the threads thinking it wouldn't make much difference. Doh! Now I need too remove it and see...

Installed the LG Billet shorty antenna today, in cerakote black. Really like how it looks; I'm not a fan of the .50 cal bullet antennas, So this was a nice alternative.

    BFG KO2 or Wildpeak AT/3W

I think you'll be very happy with the Falkens. I've been running them for a year now and bought them specifically for their performance in wet weather (I live on the Oregon coast, where average precipitation in December alone is 12 inches). They've done great and minimal wear.

Still have it, still debating on whether to continue driving it daily or not! 232xxx miles on original motor, and running like a top.

Will these work with any of the TBI 350 years, and are other upgrades needed to support these heads? Just wondering.

Who has tried LED head lights

Well, I had a discount available and found the Auxbeam S1's on sale for $22.95, so I pulled the trigger. I'll install them and if they don't work well in the rain, I'll go with halogens. I have a set of Baja Designs amber DOT approved fog lights that really do well in the fog/rain, and so I...

Who has tried LED head lights

This was about a year ago, so my question is - did you go back to halogens, or did you stick with the Auxbeam LEDs? My Anzo housings are coming in soon, and I need to figure out what I'm going to put in them. The only doubt I have about LEDs are their performance in the rain - I live on the...

Who has tried LED head lights

That's what I've noticed when I am driving and oncoming traffic has LEDs or HIDs, my halogen lights no longer show anything in front of me! Freaking annoying. I have ANZO housings on the way, and I'm still undecided on if I want to switch to 9012/9011 bulbs or go with LEDs.

It was $600 for under the rail, the normal Line-X (not the more expensive one w/ UV protection). $2k sounds way off!

Still got it. It's been painted (need to wash it, it's dirty in this pic!), bed has been Line-X'ed, and took the camper off and put on a tonneau. Ready for another rainy Oregon coast winter!

Mud flaps; Which ones do you use?

I'm still up in the air on mudflaps. I HATE the idea of my rockers/behind the wheels getting dinged up and dirty. Mudflaps would really cut down on the rocks and mud that are kicked up. At the same time, I don't want to invite rust issues in the future. Hard choice!!!

Mud flaps; Which ones do you use?

I have heard a lot of horror stories about salt and rusting out the areas under mud flaps and running boards. They don't use salt on the roads here in Oregon, which is a good thing.

    Eye Candy

How do you feel about those leaf springs you bought? I probably need to replace mine, they are the originals and don't have much spring left in them lol. Any reason you went with autoandtrucksprings.com over another company?

Mud flaps; Which ones do you use?

At the moment I am having my truck painted, and while that is happening I am already thinking about how I'm going to preserve the new paint job. In both the front and the back I always get a lot of roadspray, tar, dirt and muck that is kicked up. Cleaning up behind the wheels is always tough. So...

Repainting; Stock two-tone, or new color?

I appreciate everyone's feedback - at the end of the day, I chose to keep the original two-tone; there's something about it that I think is classy but at the same time distinct. I'll be sure to post pics when I pick her up!

Repainting; Stock two-tone, or new color?

I am partial to the stock two tone. I think I will ask if the black can be changed to a very dark metallic gray. If it's in my budget then I will go for that, otherwise I am fine with a repaint of the stock colors.

Repainting; Stock two-tone, or new color?

I really like that! That's kind of what I had imagined for mine; the stock two tone is eye-catching, but there's just something about metallic paint that sets it apart.

Repainting; Stock two-tone, or new color?

I know it will come down to 'it's your truck, you choose!,' but I still feel like asking the question! I am finally deciding to have my truck repainted; some bubbles and surface rust have began to form around the front and rear windshield/backwindow molding, and living close to the coast has...

All cleaned up. Weather should be good enough in a couple of weeks to take the topper off! Plans are to add a bug guard/air deflector and change out the old yellow headlights for some new TYC ones. Still debating on whether or not to keep the truck or sell her, especially as my three kids get...

Added these Baja Designs flush mount fog lights installed, with amber lenses. I bought them specifically for fog and rain situations at night and haven't had to really use them yet, but they should help a lot. Now I just need to replace my 'amber' headlights lol

Thanks man, I'm partial to the two tone also! And hey, don't knock my $50 grampa canopy lol. It'll come off in the summer when it stops raining here. I'm the 3rd owner and for it living its life on the Oregon coast, it amazingly has no rust. Now that I have her she sleeps inside. :)

New tires, finally! Looking a little better, and driving a lot better. It's amazing how much of a difference a new set of tires will make when it comes to handling and steering. I went with Falken Wildpeaks. Now if it would just stop raining so I can give the ol' girl a bath.

    Leaf springs

I know this is an old thread but did your truck ride/handle better afterwards? I think my leaf springs are pretty worn/sagging and I notice that my truck has a lot of side to side movement when I don't have a load in the bed. Just wondering if that might be related.

Question about changing from LT to P tires

The only issue I am finding is find LT's in the tire size that I need, which is 275/55r20. I put on a set of Denali rims a few years ago but the tires were still in decent shape when I got them so I didn't pay attention to tire availability until now, and I can find a lot of all terrain...
