    also have my rear step bumper, has a dent, not a big one, have pics in my build thread. I removed the impact strip and put a chrome molding over the holes, and i's missing the step pad in the middle, not rusted, and would include the brackets inside and out. I'd ship it if somebody pays shipping...

    yep complete, drop in, plug and play, new dist. that I bought a new cap and rotor for, after I bought the new dist. itself. ONLY thing NOT with it, is plug wires.

    Local is out of the question for me. Local place said for a 4x4 and like 250 wall I'd have to buy a whole stick and it'd be like $220. I don't think so. I'm only looking for maybe a 34 inch piece to make my front crossmember for sas conversion. Maybe even do thinner wall thickness if itd hold up...

    What do most use for this? I usually see like 4x4 square tubing and like .250 wall. Would like 180 or 188 wall thickness work, whatever it is, and would 2x4 work instead? Or even weld spring hangers directly to the stock frame? Then maybe a tube brace across the frame rails above the hangers.

    I did this to mine back a year or two ago, shaved down the housing and such, spaced up the injector pod, but no spacer under the tb unit and rebuilt it while I was doing the mods, now I'm gonna end up selling it because I'm switching to carb setup in the next few months. I had heard some of the early stripped down truck maybe vin code m if they had em for a 350 or so, see if they can find you a mount, take yours off and take it to them.     if there's holes in the frame move it up, if there's no holes drill some. As for the old school tc, some of the stockish tc's don't use a bolt only they use bolt and nut, agreed grade 8, with loctite, and sometimes any parts store has bolt and nut kits for em. If not buy you one for a 75 truck...

    good catch I completely forgot about the swirl ports. I hear they kinda run out of steam around 4k or so. Not to mention with most cam changes springs need to be changed to match the lift of said cam to run. with that said, a big cam in that seems to just be mean sounding without a lot to back...

    I searched and found an old post said you need the pink coil wire, seems fine to me I'll just test light check it before I snip into anything. As well as leave enough room to splice back together if need be

    when getting rid of tbi and going carb and switching to an old coil in cap hei setup which wire needs to feed power to the hei coil? just the hot for the reg. tbi coil? cut and splice on the correct end and leave the rest alone?
