First real test drive today, after V8 swap.

LOL!!!!! Ok I get your point. Too bad it's been POURING rain the past few days or I'd be paying more attention to Mr. RCSB

Well, yes. That was because at the time, I didn't know what "angle-plug" meant. A quick lying, spying google search would have helped immensely at that time. #stubbornDeCaff. How does one do that?

To Hell with that. I'll just mount the NIB radiator. I believe I had explained earlier why I DIDN'T do that in the first place. Fan clutch is brandy spanking new.

Yeah cripes I'm lucky I even got as far as I did with that ridiculous setup. Let's a take a modern day laptop and teach it to talk to a 34 year old EPROM, then pretend to not get confused when nothing is comprehensible. SORRY, but I'm doing my best here with something that I just don't...

HA! Neither am I! I'm doing my best here to get live data. Problem is I don't know WHAT to look for, nor do I know WHERE to find it.

How so? They are definitely SBC heads and bolt right on (except for the two intake bolts). All the accessories bolt right on, and, once adjusted correctly, the valve train works as it should. Besides being a junk chinesium brand, what's wrong with them? Oh and yeah besides being angled-plug...

Heater core hoses are connected right where they should be. AH, so these heads are NOT Vortec heads. They are chinesium aluminum SBC heads.

Alrighty, then. I'll post the results up when I get them. Thanks. Ah, see now we're getting somewhere. Water pump and hoses are brand new. New thermostat is a 195°. That radiator, I pulled out the yard some time ago from a K2500. It's specifically the longer one - 34". The radiator fan...

That's not normal? Running lean maybe? Couldn't be due to excessive spark advance because it ran to 225 even before I advanced the base timing to 12°. Fine! Can you teach this software-ignorant person how to do that? I have not confirmed fuel pressure, at all, since I've gotten it...

First real test drive today, after V8 swap.

Managed to get this far. This is as I'm just sitting here idling, at operating temperature, after a "spirited" test drive. Things were actually going sort of ok. Seems like as soon as the engine temp gets around 225~ish, that's when the oil pressure tanks. That's also when the engine...

Indeed. I had to wait for account activation before I could download anything. Working on it now.

Well, technically, they are lol. Everyone tried to tell me that the intake manifold thread bores were "off angle", right out of the box. As usual, I didn't listen and did my own thing. You all were correct. I had to modify the intake to make it fit. Isn't that technically a faulty head?

It might not seem like it, but that's exactly what I'm trying to do with this Tunerpro thing. I'm genuinely curious to see the results, myself.

They better not have been. I had to come up with the money to pay for those books, study and learn from them, then earn a degree with that knowledge. THEN, I had to pay that money back! I'm sure I'm NOT the only one!

Are you saying library books are lying, too?

First real test drive today, after V8 swap.

Yes, I'm under the same impression. Then, I think I read somewhere that you don't even need a bin if all you're doing is SCANNING or DATA LOGGING. USED to be, being the operative words. As for connecting Windows 10 to an 80's EPROM, the hardware and driver part was easy. Configuring the COM...

Found a tutorial. I registered on the site but still can't download anything from there. It says I need to wait in the queue for admin approval. Whatev's...

Oh really. Well, I'm going to attempt using Tunerpro again today. I'm still 100% lost on what to do/how to use it. The hardware part is easy. It's the bin file and the mask that I've no clue about. Like, how am I supposed to find a random bin file out there in cyberspace for my SPECIFIC...

First real test drive today, after V8 swap.

Ya know...... it's getting to the point where the aftermarket heads are more trouble than they are worth. I'm wanting to put the factory heads back on because that would be easier than tuning the aluminum junk, and likely be more reliable. Grrrrrrr. I digress, however, because like I...

So, we tried that on the 300 2bbl on the Buick. That ended up in complete disaster. Adding fuel lines, wiring, and a computer to a vehicle that was never meant to have such things is a complete waste of money and time. @tayto I read through the Intro to Tuning, parts 1 and 2. o_Oo_O. Not...

I know what EBL Flash is. I had considered it. Maybe I should re-consider it. Never wanted to go this haywire with the mods/upgrades but that's how things went. So, about that steep leaning curve, even if I do manage to figure out the whole Tunerpro thing, how the Hell do I know what to...
