Trip meter stopped working

So, I have a 92 K1500 and the cluster is a bit different... I needed to change out the back board where are the bulbs are because there was a dim area... Left the "new" back piece in and swapped out the actual gauge cluster.... What would cause the trip meter and odometer to stop like that? None...

OEM ground locations?

Can anyone help with this wire? I am going with the assumption that it is a ground since it is on the frame... '92 Chevy Scottsdale K1500 4.3L V6 5-spd

Oh, that thing... It was all clear... Damn strong spring too... No... it didn't go flying anywhere. I figured there was a spring in it so I slowly loosened all four... a little bit for you and a little bit for you... and for you and for you....
