    ive been looking through the 98 manual for at least 30 minutes.. lots of good info.. but nothing about crankcase ventilation, i wouldn't even know what to call it without knowing what the part is called.. but now i have wiring schematics, im sure ill need that.. been a mouse or two in it..

    The oil passage in that plate looked like it found its way into the rear main seal area, the rubber part of the gasket had cracks in it and stuck to the engine when I removed the gasket and broke apart in lots of peices when I tried taking the rubber part of the gasket off

    Got the engine and trans split and new rear main seal and housing gasket? and oil pan gasket on.. the rear main seal was not leaking I don't think.. the plate or housing gasket rubber was very brittle and cracked as I pulled that plate off and there is a oil passage that runs in that plate and...

    Well its coming back out.. rear main seal decided to go, and oil pan leaks... going to make the wiring nicer looking while it's out.. Didn't leak at all fir 2 weeks in the suburban driving it around.. figures.. only put 140 miles on it

    So I've got my 5.3 4l60e swap done in my 89 c2500 light duty 6 lug, with a 14 bolt rear end.. The suburban driveshaft and u joint works but the u joint caps to the 14 bolt are a tad to small maybe 1/8 of play between the u joint cap and 14 bolt yolk.. So I found I need a Spicer 5-460x online...

    Where do you get the fittings to go from the braded fuel line that screws into the tbi, to adapt to the l.s push in fuel rail? In the middle of putting a 03 suburban 5.3 in a 89c2500

    Do you know if a 03 suburban 1500 colum will fit in a 89 c2500? Doing a ls swap and would like to have use the colum shift, keep the tow hall button and tilt will as well.. I can cut and weld the end to fit.. but the mounting stuff is my concern

    I'm guessing that's what the glue like residue is from, the foam that's missing.. I replaced the crankcase breather vent and the truck runs a bit better.. but I really noticed the break peddle is more responsive and firmer when coming to a stop now

    Mine stays around 30 ish at idle when warm, running 15w40 Rotella.. about 45 when cold, well if you call 85 or 90 degrees outside cold.. I have a 89 gmc with the tbi 350, is this vacuum line supposed to be open? From the diagrams I've found it should be a vent? Just want to be sure

    Well after doing body work on the passenger side.. I decided to see how a two tone would look.. I forgot black brings out every imperfection and I now have more body work to do, yay!. doing the driver side now but it does not need any body work like the passenger side.. that I can see.....
