Mine caked like crazy. For me the Trail Grapplers have performed better off road on my stock 99 Z. The Mud Grapplers also tried to kill me the one time I drove them in the rain.
Head gasket. Cracked heads are common in TBI trucks too but normally show signs of water in the oil.
What color is the antifreeze that you put in it and that was in it before? Dexcool is orange/yellow.
They are the most common new transmission behind the LS motors. They have a user controlled max top gear(meaning you can tell the truck to not shift into a gear higher than what you choose via the shifter mounted rocker switch). My guess is that they would be fine in a light duty half ton. I...
Well avoid the Nitto Mud Grapplers. I had a set for a week. They suck on the road and in mud, and sound like the tread is trying to come apart over 40mph.
Well I know that I hated the 6L80Es in the fleet I was servicing, would have traded one for a 4L80E in a heartbeat. I don't know what operating system you would need but I know there are a lot of 2wd 6L80s used for sale right now. I couldn't 30k miles out of them before failure, but they were on...
10w30 is perfect. I wouldn't recommend synthetic unless its always used it. I use Mobile Super 5000 in my trucks. Its cheap and works well for what I do. If you live in a super cold climate you may want to look into 5w30.
Yes, too much oil will cause an issue. But unlike you trolls, I actually added some content to my post explaining that 6 quarts of oil instead of 5 will not hurt our motors. The difference is I'm trying to help this person, you are trying to troll.
I remember the drive by wire issue on an LS1 hot rod. I think he went with an old Camaro setup or something, it ended up being easy.
The AWD is what I was saying was possible. Heck you might could trade that trans for a 2wd 80E out of a C2500 or something.
Yes its possible, no I wouldn't do it though. That Yukon, is it a 10 bolt or 14 bolt? You mention G80(locker) and limited slip, do you know which it has? You found pretty much the perfect truck for a donor. Most 6.0s I come across are either blown up or priced through the roof.
My assumption...
Dunno what he tried to say. I think he agreed by saying "Yes, a quart to much will help" but I'm not sure. Don't know if he was saying it will help the motor or oil pressure or what.
6 quarts of oil in a 305 or 350 will not cause an issue in our trucks. Oil additives do not all hurt the motor...
That can happen with blockages because its impossible to bleed if the system can't cycle enough fluid. If you have no leaks and the master cylinder is new, the chances are that something is just over tightened or possibly a blockage somewhere in the lines.
No, one quart too much won't hurt the motor. But oil additives can reduce oil flow, which increases oil pressure. I used to think that putting Lucas Oil Treatment in my motors was helping it because the oil pressure was higher. As it turns out the reason pressure was higher is because the...
It is the bands and needs a rebuild. There really isn't much else to do or say. Don't waste the money on having it flushed, most of the time they start acting up right after it is flushed.
I thought I was going to be replacing my Trail Grapplers in 25-30k max, but they are still going well at almost 50k. I'll replace them after this season but honestly I could probably get another 5-7k out of them if I had to. They weren't babied, either. The truck has been used in the woods often.
Because of how much experience I have with ads exactly like that. I speak Spanish(very broken) and know that 9 times out of 10 when I contact an ad like that I will get an answer similar to "I had the title and lost it before I could register it" or "I didn't register it because it doesn't run"...
Pretty much what I always use(I pick them up at hardware stores usually though). What I meant was if you are going through the trouble of removing the manifold then just buy a bare one for cheap instead of try and save that one. Its worth the 20 bucks not to fool with it in my opinion.
Sponginess and air in the lines. If fluid can't get through, or get through without blockage, you will have the issues you are speaking of. Slow brake response and a weak pedal. At this point you should stop thinking about the brake booster. A failing brake booster will cause a heavy/firm pedal...
